Huntington Beach is the place to be over the 4th of July weekend, with many events and a parade scheduled (on top of the fireworks show). People call the Huntington Beach 4th of July Parade as the biggest on the West Coast. The cost to view the parade is $25.00, it lasts about 2 hours and runs for the most part along Pacific Coast Highway. The Surf City 5K run and expo launches at 6:00 A.M., and the fitness exposition features games, activities, live music and excellent culinary choice. The Kiwanis Club of Huntington Beach will be service pancakes in the morning up until 10:00 and the cost is $5.00. The fireworks show begins at 9:00 and is over the skies of the Huntington Beach Pier, and can be viewed anywhere in the city of Huntington Beach.
