On September 3rd, at the Dana Point Nature Interpretive Center, from 9:00 – 11:00 AM, the city is hosting the Headlands Nature Walk. The attention is placed on the animals and plants that can be uncover in the Dana Point Headlands, and was created to enlighten people on the local plant communities. The walk takes about 2 hours and covers nearly 2 miles. Science Night is held on September 8th at the Dana Point Community Center, and it is where the Dana Point residents can learn about Science related issues relayed in a lay-persons style. The event is formatted for children and there are many hands-on activities and displays. On September 10th the city is hosting the Whale Walk and Talk which begins at 9:00 AM. The event was created to introduce participants to the whale “seasons”. People who join will learn about; Gray, Blue and Humpback Whale.
