Definition of Townhouse
Orange County Townhome
A type of home that's usually constructed as a two or three-story unit with a common wall or walls bordering the adjacent unit – in Orange County it is not uncommon for an Orange County townhome for sale to sit on a single-level. The common form of ownership in Orange County is similar to a condominium project in that the property owner owns their respective unit as well as an undivided interest in any common areas.
Townhouse ownership can differ from condominium ownership when the townhouse owner owns the physical structure rather than just the airspace between the walls, floor and ceiling. However, in most areas of Orange County townhouse refers to the physical style of the structure rather than the form of ownership.
