Definition of Exclusive Listing:
Orange County, California Exclusive Listing:
An exclusive agency listing is one where the seller of the home contracts one agent or brokerage to sell their home. If that agent, real estate company or any other licensed cooperating agent finds an acceptable buyer, the seller must pay a sales commission. Again, as is the case with an open listing, no sales commission is owed if the home seller finds a buyer on their own. Due to the lack of control over the outcome of this type of agreement, most real estate agents are reluctant to work on an exclusive agency listing. Because of BanCorp’s commitment to service excellence we are willing to always work with an Orange County seller with an exclusive agency listing.
