This can refer a couple of different transactions in Orange County. In Orange County a real estate transaction is not consider " officially closed" until the documents have been recorded at the local county recorder’s office – here is the link to the Orange County Recorder’s Office. “Closing” can also refer to the "close of escrow" or COE which is when all of the documents are signed AND the money has exchanged hands.
